This sculptured thimble is a model of The Mask of Tutankhamen one of the greatest archaeological finds of our time. The original was made of solid gold. The tomb of Tutankhamen was not discovered until 1922 when the British archaeologist Howard Carter found it. The tomb contained great treasures, including the gold mask and jewelry.
