The Farthing Thimble

Polished pewter Farthing Thimble, it has an original farthing coin which has been formed into a dome to fit the top of the thimble.

The first round farthing in England was used in 1279.The farthing was last used as legal coinage in 1960 the last coins were a favourite with most people having a Wren motif embossed on one side. 

Height approx 22mm.

Comes carefully packaged.
