Great navigators such as Cortes, Pizarro, and Columbus were amongst the first Europeans to step on new, uncharted lands that stretched from North America, through the Caribbean, to South America, conquering en-route both the mighty Aztec Empire and the South American Inca Empire. This beautiful crystal thimble is an ornate representation of the 'Age of Discovery' that flourished throughout the 15th and 16th Centuries, and of which the Spanish Conquistadors were amongst the greatest protagonists.
